If there’s anything worse than a week when you know you’re going to get hammered it just might be the week after that.
You have to hope that you’re going back in the right direction, hope that your eating will be better, hope that the exercise will click back in.
And hope that your body doesn’t play a trick on you.
It does happen. As our bodies go through the process of adjusting to new lifestyles, as metabolism adjusts, sometimes the body decides to do something unexpected. The worst of these are the “plateaus” when your body says “Nope, not gonna change. Doing fine right here”. Those can extremely frustrating.
So I stepped onto the scale this week a little worried. Not so much about plateaus but that I hadn’t changed back enough to make any progress. Even just a little.
Turns out I did OK. Dropped 3. Now back on the march to the next milestone.
