Well, it could have been worse. I knew last week was a potential problem. Add a full day conference, which are just diet landmines generally, plus we spent the weekend having fun and it could have been truly ugly.
Instead it was a hold, no significant change. That’s not awful. The real test is this current week. If I can get back on a roll then it’s fine. So it’s just a matter of sticking to what we know works – watch my food intake with the food journal, keep up at least some minimal exercise.
The full day conference was not as awful as it might have been. Good breakfast, solid lunch (not perfect but workable) and even a good dinner. The real problem was snacking. Sigh. Started with an apple and a banana. Then added several, small bran muffins. When will I get it into my head that muffins are just evil? It’s just eating cake. Then there were the two cookies. Snacking. A real area of potential development for me.
But not a terrible week. Still time to turn it around.
My resolution remains :
want to am going to be The Guy again.
The next milestone is getting back below 190. I will get there and go on.
